Behisht Designs & Alterations is a full service tailor in the south hills of Pittsburgh offering clothing alterations, repair, custom draperies, and fabric crafts. Noorzia Majeed, owner, is an Afghan refugee who moved to the US in August of 2021. Back home, she ran a successful tailoring business and is continuing her entrepreneurial journey in the US to help support her family. She decided to name her business after her 8 year old daughter, Behisht. Translated, Behisht means "paradise". Noorzia wants her customers to feel they are in paradise with her level of service and attention to detail. She has been sewing and tailoring her entire life and can do just about anything with a needle and thread.
